Karen Sparks, Licensed Esthetician Karen Sparks is a Licensed Esthetician and has over five years experience in the skin care industry. She was introduced to skin care as a teenager having developed cystic acne, a serious skin disorder. Karen decided to become her own advocate through education and achieved positive personal results. Karen developed a genuine passion for skin care and a sincere desire to help others. After receiving her license, she worked in a spa where she gained extensive experience with comprehensive training in products, facials, chemical peels and microdermabrasion. During this time, she helped clients find solutions to a variety of skin care challenges with positive and healthy outcomes. Today, in addition to caring for clients, she is a member of Associated Skin Care Professionals, as well as furthering her education by taking advanced courses at the International Dermal Institute—Postgraduate School of Skin Care and Body Therapy. Prior to pursuing her passion for skin care, Karen spent over 18 years in academic and business administration. She is a native of Orange County.

In late August 2009, Karen opened her own practice, Essential Skin Care. Her practice is located in Lotus 7 Yoga and Pilates Studio in Rancho Santa Margarita. With over five years experience, she is dedicated to providing skin care treatments that are essential in helping clients maintain healthy and radiant skin. Her passion is to help people feel more confident about themselves and educate them about their skin, while providing a caring and tranquil environment. She uses Fenix, Jan Marini, (h2t) DERModality, Tend Skin and Dermalogica skin care products.
